Overview Regardless of our business domain, there are 3 clear trends that impact us. Firstly, many people now live a tech-centric, multi-tasking and distracted life style. Secondly, they are immersed in the limitless content that is available on-demand. Thirdly, they are constantly, engaged in their social networks. As L&D professionals, are we ready and equipped to take advantage at our workplace? Our day-to-day challenges as L&D professionals are obvious and clear. We need to engage the learners, improve learning effectiveness, adapt training using technology, deliver consistent training, track skills application, reduce development cycle times, utilise limited resources and demonstrate value to leadership. While meeting these challenges, we find ourselves with an endless checklist that includes ways to improve retention, validate learning, increase business productivity and promote team building.
