Speakers Sundeep Bhan- CEO Prognos.ai  Prognos is an innovative healthcare AI company, which launched after six years of development as Medivo. Supported by Merck Global Health Innovation Fund and Safeguard Scientifics, Inc., the company strives to improve health by tracking and predicting disease earlier in partnership with Life Sciences brands, payers, and clinical diagnostics organizations. Prognos’ innovations enhance the value of laboratory results and clinical diagnostic data through advanced analytics and artificial intelligence techniques. Sundeep is a serial entrepreneur and interested in changing the world for the better.  Sundeep has over 15 years of leadership experience with building teams, developing talent, and successfully growing, managing and selling businesses in healthcare marketing and technology. Previously, as the CEO and co-founder of Medsite, Inc. he established the company as a leader in online pharmaceutical marketing and services by building an extensive online community of health care professionals, including over 400,000 US physicians. He secured financing from a range of blue chip investors, including JP Morgan Partners, Morgan Stanley, Bain, and Reuters. After the sale of Medsite to WebMD in the fall of 2006, he worked on integration, new product development, and corporate strategy. Sundeep received his B.A. in Communications from the Annenberg School of Communications at the University of Pennsylvania, with a concentration in business from the Wharton School. Sundeep was recognized as the ‘Top 5 Under 35’ by the Asian Indian Chambers of Commerce. He was a finalist for the Ernst & Young 2005, 2003 and 2000 "Entrepreneur of the Year" award. The Asian American Business Development Center recognized him as an ‘Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business’ in 2004. Sundeep has been featured in major publications and has been a keynote speaker at numerous conferences and has served as a guest lecturer for the Goergen Entrepreneurial Management Program at the Wharton School. Sundeep also currently serves on the Leadership Council of CASI (The Center for Advanced Studies of India) at the University of Pennsylvania. Les Funtleyder, Healthcare Portfolio Manager, Author, and CNBC Commentator Mr. Funtleyder is a Healthcare Portfolio Manager at E Squared Capital Management where he is responsible for conducting fundamental and valuation analysis of public and private companies within the healthcare industry.  Prior to E Squared Mr. Funtleyder was the Director of Strategic Investments for Opko Health, Phil Frost's holding company. Prior, he was a healthcare strategist and portfolio manager for the Miller Tabak Health Care Transformation Fund (Symbol: MTHFX). He joined Miller Tabak, after managing a healthcare portfolio for Provident Advisors, a hedge fund in  Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Before joining Provident, Les worked as a medical device analyst at UBS Warburg. He also covered Biotechnology stocks at Bigelow and company. His industry experience includes directing clinical and business research at Innovative Health Solution, a joint venture of Merck and Wyeth; and as a consultant to HMOs and hospitals for Coopers & Lybrand and Health Strategies Group. He started his healthcare career at Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield.  Mr. Funtleyder wrote Healthcare Investing: Profiting from the New World of Pharma, Biotech, and Health Care Services (McGraw Hill), which bridges the gap between health reform, innovation and investing. He is widely quoted in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and the Financial Times, and is a frequent guest on CNBC, Bloomberg and NPR for his perspective on the healthcare sector and its constituent companies. He is also a consulting partner to Bluecloud Health, a Sub-Saharan healthcare private equity fund, and on the board of several healthcare companies and foundations. Last, Les is currently a Professor of Public Health at Columbia University. Les earned his Masters of Public Health from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, and studied English and Economics at Tulane University. Jeffrey Nadler, Chief Technology Officer, Teladoc Jeff is responsible for all aspects of information technology at Teladoc including overall enterprise security. At Teladoc include re-architecting the core application platform to achieve massive scalability and deep and flexible data integration with clients and partners, designing and developing the company’s suite of mobile apps, driving the company’s technology strategy and building out the IT department to meet the growing needs of the business. Before joining Teladoc, Jeff served as chief technology officer for ActiveHealth Management, a leading vendor of products and services for the healthcare industry in the areas of disease management, wellness, personal health records, analytics, lifestyle coaching, UM/CM and clinical decision support. His accomplishments there include development of the world‘s leading, patented clinical decision support engine. Previously, he served as senior vice president in the enterprise technology group at Marsh and McLennan Companies, director and program manager at Cambridge Technology Partners and co-founder of a company that specialized in text retrieval software and related products and services. Jeff graduated magna cum laude from Union College in Schenectady, N.Y., where he received a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering.
